Lets FreeMIDI recognize the QuickTime Musical Instruments file and the QuickTime Media Layer as a viable synthesizer choice within MIDI-aware applications. With this extension, users don't need any outside hardware at all for MIDI-playback inside applications including the Apple Movie Player. Also lets users take QuickTime movies or files that call on the QuickTime Musical Instruments file, and send them to external midi gear instead.
